Yet, the design remains clean and modern with an open, airy layout and warm lighting. This seamless blend of old and new makes it an inviting space for meals whether a casual breakfast, a quick lunch or leisurely dinner. As we settled down with high anticipation of a satisfying meal, we took our time browsing the menu as it put us in the dilemma of what to order – there were so many time-honoured favourites that we loved! We finally opted for Grilled Jumbo Chicken Satay and Nasi Lemak Sushi to start with, and the presentation and flavours of both pleased our eyes and palates. For our main course we selected XO Fish Noodles Soup which arrived with generous pieces of tender white fish in a soothing broth infused with XO liquor. And we could not miss the renowned Hainanese Chicken Rice, of course! Also on the menu were other favourites including Beef Hor Fun or wok-fried flat noodles with tender slices of beef and a rich gravy, and Nasi Lemak featuring fragrant coconut rice accompanied by sambal, crispy anchovies and perfectly fried chicken wings. To wrap up our highly satisfying meal we ordered Mango and Durian Bingsu, which were really refreshing, as well as coffee in traditional style.
